Slowly heat the stone to 280–300 °C.

  • Direct heat (grill, gas stove, fireplace, charcoal): approx. 30 min. warm-up time.
  • Oven: approx. 60 min. warm-up time.

Cooking time afterwards: approx. 60 min. each.

How does the preparation work?

  • Place the heated stone on the serving board.
  • Lightly salt the meat or fish before placing it on the stone.
  • Sear the meat briefly on both sides, then cut into bite-sized pieces and cook as desired.
  • Blanch the vegetables beforehand, cut into thin slices, and place on the stone.
  • Finally, desserts such as fruit, crêpes, or cheese can be prepared using the residual heat (approx. 200 °C).

How do I clean the hot stone?

  • Never place it in cold water when hot – risk of cracking!
  • Place the stone in lukewarm water with washing-up liquid and remove food residues with a cloth or sponge.
  • Use steel wool or a pot scraper for stubborn encrustations.
  • Wipe wooden parts with a damp cloth only; stainless steel and bowls are dishwasher-safe.
